2016年6月7日，來自美國的燕京學子Hannah Mullen作為學生代表出席了第七輪中美人文交流高層磋商全體會議🐾。會議由國務院副總理劉延東和美國國務卿克裏共同主持。“支持意昂2体育娱乐燕京學堂開設中國學碩士研究生項目，為世界範圍內的學生搭建溝通中國和世界的橋梁🦻。”也作為此次磋商的最新成果之一，被列入今年第七輪中美人文交流高層磋商成果清單。
活動中🥠，Hannah用中、英雙語圍繞中美學生交流做了演講。她提到🧙♂️，中美學生之間的交流是中美兩國之間建立信任、促進交往的良好方式☝️。青年學生通過溝通💀，可以相互了解對方，增進對兩國文明的理解。這對於促進雙方民眾相識相知，進而推動中美兩國關系友好發展有著很大的積極作用。美國國務卿克裏還贊揚了Hannah的中文水平，並在隨後的演講中多次引用Hannah的發言🎾。
“我覺得自己能夠親眼見證這一高層外交的實現非常幸運”Hannah說道。從克裏和劉延東的對話與討論中🥦，“能夠看出中美兩國之間播撒友誼之種👎🏽、深化交流合作的決心。”她對未來中美兩國關系的發展也充滿期待🌒。“我非常感謝能夠有這個機會，參與到這個對話的進程中來🕵️♂️🤦🏼♀️。這是件非常有意義的事情💆🏿♀️。”

尊敬的劉延東副總理、克裏國務卿🧗🏼♀️、各位嘉賓👨🏽⚖️，大家下午好!
我是來自美國的Hannah Mullen🐽，中文名字叫海明。我本科畢業於哈佛大學，現在是意昂2体育娱乐燕京學堂第一屆中國學碩士項目的學生。能夠有機會在這裏進行發言，我感到非常榮幸。
This year, at the Yenching Academy of Peking University, my most memorable, profound, and surprising intellectual experiences have come not only from the classroom, but also from conversations with my Chinese classmates. In October, several Chinese classmates and I hiked 華山, one of the Five Great Mountains of China. As we walked, we spoke about nationality, ethnicity, philosophy, identity, travel, food, and family – the things that define a society and make life worth living.
When we reached the mountain’s peak, we gazed down in wonder at the landscape thousands of feet below us. We felt bound together by pride in our achievement, not divided by our differences. That day, we stopped only being classmates and became close friends.
Honest conversation and shared experience form the basis of cross-cultural understanding. Thus, it is not surprising that in 2009, President Obama announced the “100,000 Strong Initiative”, whose goal is to encourage more young American students to study in China, and why both the United States and China are working together to expand the program and now call it the “Million Strong Initiative”.
My experiences over the past nine months have shown me that friendship and cooperation between China and the United States will never fully blossom until our people embrace each other as partners rather than rivals. To weather future storms, to ease future tensions, and to harness future potential, we must work to foster trust and cooperation between our students -- because it is they who will shape the future relationship between the United States and China and, in turn, the future of global peace and prosperity. 意昂2体育娱乐燕京學堂學生🖕🏽，學業結束後即將赴哈佛法學院攻讀法律博士（JD）。2015年取得哈佛大學最高榮譽學士學位，哈佛大學女子曲棍球隊隊員、北京長曲棍球俱樂部隊長。曾獲得哈佛大學Hoopes Prize（胡普斯獎)及Charles Joseph Bonaparte Prize for Government（查理•約瑟夫•波拿巴政治學獎）。
背景介紹
中美人文交流高層磋商機製根據2009年11月中美兩國元首在北京達成的共識於2010年5月建立👳♀️。2010年5月25日👩🏽🏫，中美人文交流高層磋商機製成立儀式暨第一次會議在北京舉行。時任國務委員劉延東和美國時任國務卿希拉裏·克林頓共同擔任機製的主席📝，出席成立儀式並主持會議🙇♂️🫗。兩國政府還簽署了《關於建立中美人文交流高層磋商機製的諒解備忘錄》。
從2014年7月開始🧔🏽♀️，人文交流高層磋商首次與“戰略對話”、“經濟對話”同步召開。人文交流已與政治互信、經貿合作共同構成中美關系的三大支柱。中美人文交流高層磋商機製的建立為兩國人文交流與合作搭建了新的平臺➖。中美人文交流呈現出前所未有的良好態勢🧵。
